The St. Martha religious education and faith formation program is for children K-8th grade. Each class is 55 minutes long. We meet Sunday mornings from Sept to May. Each grade is staffed with volunteers who are well prepared to conduct a class. In 1st grade the children begin to learn The Hail Mary, The Our Father and The Glory Be. In 2nd grade the children are prepared for their First Holy Communion. As the children continue through the 8th grade, they will be taught in depth the Seven Sacraments, The Ten Commandments, The Beatitudes as well as know how to pray The Rosary. We also have the children reading at a Mass on a given Sunday. This program is just a "mustard seed" in learning of their Faith and we hope they continue to strengthen their love for our Lord Jesus Christ.

The faith formation program for 9th to 12th graders is designed to enhance the spiritual, social, and cognitive development of students as they embark on their final spiritual journey before and after they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Each class has a team of catechists who work together to provide a dynamic environment where teens are engaged and can learn. The youth group organizes and arranges functions and trips for the teenage youth. They include pilgrimages, Christian concerts, movies and social get together. Assistants helping Lori and Marc are Vincent and Monica.

Adult Faith Formation
Our Catholic Christian formation doesn’t end with Confirmation. Formation, like our relationship with God is something that must be nourished and developed; it is a journey that should last a lifetime. The Adult Faith Formation program explores a wide range of topics including Bible Study, the Spiritual Book club, Fundamentals of our faith, and many others. The group meets every other Thursday at 7pm in the school library.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
RCIA is a ministry comprised of Catholics who are committed to their faith and want to participate in leading others to their faith as sponsors.
RCIA candidates and sponsors meet as a group, as the candidates make the journey for the first time, to “break open the word” of the Gospel and study/present the beliefs of the Catholic Church. In this journey, both candidates and sponsors will be led to a deeper understanding of our faith in preparation for the candidate’s entrance to full communion with the church. For more information contact the rectory office at: (860) 745-5616.
